An AMAP (Association pour le maintien d’une agriculture paysanne) is the French equivalent of Community Supported Agriculture (CSA). Based on a contracted commitment from a local group of consumers, a producer/farmer undertakes to provide consumers with a weekly “basket” or “box”, of vegetables and other produce.
I create the communication materials for the network of AMAPs in the Ile de France region. I suggested the strapline "Plus qu'un panier" (More than just a veg box) to highlight the aspect of solidarity-based partnership which distinguishes the AMAP model from the growing number of veg box schemes operating on a more commercial, less personal basis, with no direct link between the producer and the group of consumers.
