A Celebration of August
London Design Festival 2010
31 Artists and Designers were asked to produce their own interpretation of a day in August as part of the London Design Festival 2010.
On the 22 August I was walking in the streets of Paris, where I live. Every other shop and restaurant was closed, with a hastily scribbled notice in the window: "Fermé pour congés" - Closed for holidays. Most were shut for the entire month of August. The shop where I had hoped to buy the paper to print this poster was closed for 6 whole weeks, until early September. Vive les vacances!
